AARCS’ Humane Education Program was created to educate today’s youth on issues related to animal care as well as to the behavior and welfare of animals.  At AARCS we believe that the most fundamental way to educate the children of the communities we work in while building awareness about our mission, is by sharing our knowledge of animals with children of all ages.  During our Education Sessions, we also encourage their involvement with AARCS.

The Education Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the Education Program to schools. They are primarily responsible for booking and scheduling Education Sessions. In addition they oversee the volunteer scheduling, and working with the appropriate programs to ensure animals are present. This can be primarily done from home. 

•	Facilitate new presentation requests and 
schedule them accordingly 
•	Work with Volunteer Manager to ensure schedules are available in Better Impact 
•	Ensure there are volunteers and leaders available to lead presentation sessions
•	Work with programs to ensure that there are animals able to attend presentations, as permitted by each facility 
•	Attend one Education session per month 

•	Fill out additional monthly reporting and provide monthly department updates 
•	Continually review and update content for lesson plans 
•	Work with Volunteer Manager for ongoing recruitment for new Education Team members
•	Work with appropriate departments for program expansion development 
•	Ensure email is being checked at a minimum every 24 hours
