'THIRD ACTion Film Festival' Expands Their Base of Operations

When you are fledgling non-profit, you have to have a sense of humor and celebrate the small wins along with the big ones.  As a home-based non-profit, recently THIRD ACTion Film Festival doubled its base of operations by opening up the other half of the desk/table that they call their administrative “home”.  You can make a big impact without taking up much space!

THIRD ACTion works to make an age-positive culture shift by reframing the discussions around aging and older adults.  Through films, speakers and an art show, they look to entertain and educate.

In their second year of operations, they are expanding their reach by taking a piece of the festival out to communities within Calgary after the festival and are working on a potential partnership with a researcher at the University of Calgary to study the impact of the festival on attitudes of aging.
