TYS Podcast Ep 1: Capital Campaigns

Welcome to the inaugural episode of the Transform Your Story Podcast. Thanks for joining us, and we hope you enjoyed this episode. First and foremost, the best way to spread the word about the podcast is to rate and review it in iTunes. A quick rating and review makes all the difference in more listeners finding this resource. Another way to do that is to link to the podcast on social media and tell all your non-profit peeps about us!

In this episode we’re joined by Jeni Piepgrass CFRE, the Director of Development at the National Music Centre. Jeni was kind enough to sit down with us to talk about the nitty gritty of running a capital campaign. The National Music Centre, located in Calgary, recently opened its doors, but it is part of a $190 million capital campaign that is ongoing.

Piepgrass and her team have survived the Calgary Flood (which could have had a worse impact than it did, thankfully), and have adjusted their fundraising strategy to not only an economic downturn, but to Calgary in particular being affected by the drop in the price of oil.

To find out more about the National Music Centre, we highly recommend you visit them in person, if possible! It’s an incredible space fuelled by passionate people.
